Medical test will be compulsory for university admission

Medical test will be compulsory for university admission and dope test will include with it. Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said it to journalist on 26th June 2022.

During university admission, all students should do medical test by amending the law. On Sunday (26th June 2022) the home minister said at a press conference on the occasion of “International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking-2022” at the Secretariat.

He also mentioned, “When Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina spoke of zero-tolerance against drugs, we had already started dope tests of police personnel. We then made a proposal to the Prime Minister – those who will be recruited will be dope tested. The tests will be done by a civil surgeon. To do this extensively the infrastructure needs to be developed. We have started to implement it.”

This dope test will not only applicable for university level students but also government job seekers and officials. Already a proposal (to compulsory dope test) has been sent to the premier to introduce dope test for government officials and employees before recruitment.
