Gas Transmission Company Ltd. (GTCL), a concern of Petrobangla, issues a circular to make recruitment to 115 posts. The last date to apply is June 18, 2021.

Application Period : Online application has gotten underway from 9 a.m. May 25. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. June 18, 2021.
Application Fee : The fee for application is Tk. 500 which needs to be deposited by SMS via any Teletalk prepaid mobile number. It should be noted that the last time to make the fee payment is 5 p.m. June 21 (within 72 hours after last time of application).
Fee Payment Method By SMS : Every applicant will have an User ID upon application submission with which they need to pay application fee by sending SMS through any Teletalk prepaid mobile number. Use the following method to make fee payment by SMS :
First SMS : GTCL (Space) User ID, then send it to 16222.
Subsequently, applicant will receive an SMS carrying his or her PIN Number.
Second SMS : GTCL (Space) Yes (Space) PIN, then send it again to 16222. Done!!
How To Get Admit Card : Upon deposit of exam fee of Tk. 500, applicants will receive their User ID and Password by SMS from the Teletalk mobile operator, with which they need to download and print their admit cards from any of the following two websites :
http://gtcl.teletalk.com.bd and www.gtcl.org.bd.
Note : During Written and Viva Exams, candidates need to carry their admit cards to their exam venues or centers. For further details, please see the GTCL Job Circular provided in image at the end of this article.
Vacant Positions in Numbers : The vacant positions to which recruitment will be made are the followings :
a. Assistant Engineer (Electrical & Electronic-21 posts, Mechanical-26, Civil-6 and Computer Science & Engineering-2 posts, total-55 posts under this category) b. Assistant Manager (general, no. of posts 7) c. Deputy-Assistant Engineer (Electrical-11 posts, Mechanical-13, Civil-4 and Computer Science-2 posts, total 30 posts) d. Assistant Officer (general, no. of posts 9) and e. Assistant Officer (Finance/Accounts, no. of posts 14).
Requirements : Aspirants need to demonstrate the following qualities to be eligible for application :
For Assistant Engineer Post : BSc Engineering Degree in relevant subject from any recognized university Or Diploma in Engineering Degree in related subjects with 5 years of experiences for government/semi-government or autonomous institutions. No third class/division or equivalent CGPA at any level of education not acceptable.
For Assistant Manager (general) Post : Post-graduation with first class or equivalent CGPA Or second class (or equivalent CGPA) graduation along with second class Post-graduation degree Or four year graduation (honors) degree from any recognized university. No third class or division or grade not acceptable.
For Deputy Assistant Engineer Post : Diploma in Engineering Degree in related subjects from any recognized institutions. No third class/division or equivalent CGPA at any level of education not acceptable.
For Assistant Officer (general) Post : Post-graduation Or four year graduation (honors) degree from any recognized university Or Graduation (bachelor degree) with 3 years of experiences at administrative field. No third class or division or grade not acceptable.
For Assistant Officer (Finance/Accounts) Post : Post-graduation in Business Studies Or four year graduation (honors) degree in relevant subject from any recognized university Or B.com degree with 3 years of experiences at relevant field. No third class or division or grade not acceptable.
Age limit : For all general applicants, age limit is 30 years as on March 1, 2021. But for applicants of son or daughter of Freedom Fighter or martyred Freedom Fighter and the disabled, the maximum age is 32 years as of the specified date. For further details, please see the circular.
Important Notes : Applicants need to maintain the following rules while making application :
- Incomplete/misinformed/faulty application will be regarded invalid.
- Any individual cannot apply for more than one post. If someone does so, then all of his or her applications will be considered cancelled.
- Anyone trying to apply showing them ‘appeared in any exams’ is non-eligible for application. That means appeared persons are ineligible for application.
- Those unwilling to work in remote areas within the country are being discouraged to apply.
- The authority will not provide any TA/DA to candidates for their commutes to exam venues or to take part in the recruitment exam.
- Any persuasion or recommendation for the job will be treated as disqualification of the concerned applicants.
Papers Required for Viva : Applicants need to demonstrate the following papers or documents at the time of viva or oral exam :
- Certificates of all educational and experiences (if available or necessary).
- Testimonial or character certificate issued by first class government or autonomous institutions’ officer.
- Nationality certificate with mentioning of permanent address, issued by Union Parishad Chairman/Municipality or City Corporation Mayor or Ward Councilor.
- National ID Card or Birth Certificate.
